The Alan Rogers Campsite Awards are designed to reflect the variety and the values which are conveyed in our guides.
We have carefully considered more than 2500 campsites featured in our 2011 guides and have taken into account comments from our campsite assessors, our head office team and, of course, our readers.
Our award winners cover a geographical area from Ireland to Slovenia, and, in all, we have made awards to campsites in 10 different countries.
It has proved an extremely difficult task to establish the eventual winners but we believe that we have identified a number of campsites with really outstanding characteristics.
In each case, we have chosen an outright winner, along with 2 highly commended runners-up.
